Tax Residency Rules in Romania (in simple language)
You're a Romanian tax resident if your home is in Romania, or if Romania is where your main personal and economic connections are (center of vital interests), or if you spend more than 183 days there in any 12 consecutive months ending in the calendar year. Romanian citizens working abroad for the Romanian government also qualify. If you're arriving or leaving Romania and your stay will exceed 183 days, you must fill in an official residency questionnaire within 30 days of crossing that threshold.View Tax Law Source
