Tax Residency Rules in Georgia (in simple language)
You're a Georgian tax resident if you spend 183 or more days in Georgia in any 12-month period ending in the current tax year. Time spent outside Georgia for medical treatment, vacation, business trips, or education still counts toward those 183 days. Diplomats, foreign government officials, and people just passing through Georgia don't count their Georgia days. Wealthy individuals can also apply for Georgian residency if their assets exceed 3 million GEL or their annual income exceeds 200,000 GEL over the past 3 years.View Tax Law Source
