Tax Residency Rules in Greece (in simple language)
You're a Greek tax resident if Greece is where your permanent home, main residence, or main personal and financial connections are. Also, if you're present in Greece for more than 183 days (including short trips abroad), you're treated as a resident from your very first day in Greece. Exception: if you're in Greece only for tourism, medical, or similar private reasons and your stay is under 365 days, the automatic 183-day rule doesn't apply — but the other criteria still can.View Tax Law Source
