Tax Residency Rules in Italy (in simple language)
You're an Italian tax resident if, for more than half the year (183+ days), any of these apply: you're registered in the Italian municipal population register, your principal place of business or interests is in Italy, or you actually live in Italy habitually. Meeting any one condition is enough. Italian citizens who move to a country considered a tax haven are presumed to remain Italian tax residents unless they can prove their new residence is genuine.View Tax Law Source
